Érainn

Fire into water.
 
As the dragon self - brimming with the fire of freedom and pure love - immerses itself in the waters, Earth rebirths, heals and purifies along with the histories written in its soil.
 
This is a sacred act: one of alchemical transmutation which releases a spiritual fire of instructions into the seas and oceans, lakes and rivers of the planet.
 
The movement of a goddess no less ... who dissolves her body and offers herself as a lake; the progenitor and rejuvenator of her peoples.
 
This is why it says in all the stories, that out of the abyss, land appeared in the waters - and that from earth or clay, the human being was made.
 
And it is how the ancient Érainn were birthed by Loch Éirne by the goddess Érann or Ériu (modern name Eire), the goddess of ancient Ireland. Ériu was the daughter of Delbáeth of the Tuatha Dé Danann, a king whose name meant 'enchanted fire' or 'fire shape(d)'.  
 
A sea of divine power flows into and forms dragon lines, shaping the very substance of our bodies, vivefying and animating them.
 
The living are reborn in the swell of a mighty dragon power; dragon knowledge and wisdom.
 
Those who revere the ponds, rivers and lakes near their homes - the seas, streams and oceans - are baptised again in the life source of their sacred authority.
 
And we transport others across the veil. Those who are trapped in other worlds regain life - freed from their melancholy and spell of enchantment.

The waters were smooth and silky. I did not notice the cold. My body vapourised, time died in a spiral and quietly, the ripples of me lapped on the shoreline. A snap in the air and all transformed: a white powdery silence fell down. The echo of past music stirred and thinned. A pervasive sadness lifted. Suddenly bright lights danced on the smooth surface. The swan who greeted us at the beginning, came back to say goodbye.
